New Faces of 2012: Stephen Sweeney has an answer to the Californians who think they are on the right side of history by opposing marriage rights. He is the New Jersey state senate president or voted to abstain on the equal marriage bill the last time it came before the legislature. Not this time. He has reconsidered and is now championing the bill due for a vote next week. A symbol that the arc of history is indeed bending toward justice. The bill will probably be vetoed by Governor Christie. But will win there and elsewhere in the long run. The talk is that Sweeney wants to be US senator. This is an excellent place to start his campaign.
