So wonderful meeting with Jeff Burgess and students from Capilano University in Vancouver. A brighter and nicer bunch you couldn’t hope to meet.
Of course I was as helpful as possible. When they asked if there was any advice I could offer to young artists starting out I stated the obvious.
“It’s all in the footware.”
This, of course, was to demonstrate that I was not chained by the ankles to my drawing table.
It was great to meet y’all. The real truth about working in the graphic arts is to embrace hard work in the pursuit of saying true things. And be grateful for your mistakes; nothing is wasted.
And oh yeah, try to make it while never having to leave Vancouver!!
